We started off the year at “Meet the Teacher” night doing art with our parents to create a 3D collage.
First grade worked on making a variety of lines, and then used them in creating a portrait of a clown.
Second grade worked on movement in a pictures. They used Wiki Stick people to show a person in motion.
The students have had a great time this month learning about color, mixing paint to create new colors, tints and shades. We were inspired by Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keeffe. Several grade levels created sunflowers. Second grade was very creative making pumpkins using quilling. Great fun!
Amazing artwork done by our students here at College Street. This project was challenging and took time, patience and great attention to detail . . .Great Job 5th Grade!
Students get time very often to practice drawing something new.
Third grade had a great time making masks and positive/negative art with action painting.
First grade did a fabulous job on their stained glass projects.
